Ethernet – Extended delivery times

As part of our pledge to keep our new and current customers aware of news which may affect them, we have been informed that Openreach have extended their lead times, particularly in the survey and planning stage, for the delivery of Ethernet services using Openreach infrastructure.

This has been caused by a general increase in demand for Openreach Fibre which reached a peak during late 2018.

Openreach have advised that they are working hard to reduce and improve delivery lead times through a number of initiatives. This includes an emphasis on validating accepted orders, flexing resource into the stage of greatest demand and unlimited overtime.

We will continue to inform any customers that orders a new ethernet service of the extended lead times and will continue to monitor the situation with our suppliers.
